Something about webmapping and me

The Research Group Cartography of the Technical University of Vienna offers courses for Webmapping. My little webmap site ist my personal abstract of this course in march and april 2013.

Web Mapping is the process of designing, implementing, generating and delivering maps on the World Wide Web [Neumann A. (2008) in Encyclopedia of GIS].

In general, webmapping implies client-server-computing, standardized protocoll languages (HTTP), web browser usage with standardized languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript).
